We’ve recently been publishing materials and resources about artificial intelligence.  The four pages we’ve published so far are hyperlinked below.

This week, we are adding to this list.  They are hyperlinked below. 

The first page is pretty self-explanatory.  It involves helping students use artificial intelligence in the process of writing the Extended Essay.  The second page we are publishing this week is a lesson plan that asks students to debate each other about which Higher Level Essay was written by a student and which essay what written by ChatGPT. 

This lesson – in particular – is a great place to start any work you want to do with artificial intelligence in your classroom.  It throws students right into it all, asking them to discuss and debate actual essays. It also ends with a discussion question that will hopefully get them thinking not just in the lesson, but throughout the two-year course: what makes human writing unique? 

With these six total pages, students have a bunch of help and support in how to use AI - hopefully, in the “right” way!
