Student Access
Tuesday 17 October 2023
The goal of this blog post is to give you – teachers – an idea of what we have on the site for students.
A lot of what we create is for you, IBDP English A: Language and Literature teachers. But we do have this neat feature - called Student Access - that provides all of your students with free access to the site with your paid subscription.
Let’s take a look at a couple of things we’ve created for students. The most prominent place on the site for students is titled “Getting Started: Students.” This is the part of the site that has pages written for students, in student friendly language.
We also know that you (sometimes) want to send your students to a website for exam revision. We’ve done the work for you! Under the heading “Getting Started: Students” we’ve created an extensive (but hopefully not overwhelming) set of resources for students for each assessment component. It’s titled “Assessment, exemplars, and exam revision.”
And then under each assessment component, we’ve broken it down into easy to digest “chunks” such as a step-by-step process for each assessment, a model example response, and a guide on how to to prepare for the exam or internal assessment in advance, among others things.
Of course, there’s much more that you can do on the site, including providing your students with the over 40 different exemplars from the 4 different assessment components. Even more are added each year between November and January.
Again, the goal of this blog post is simply to remind you of what we offer, show you how you can harness the full potential of the site, and help you direct your students to our resources and materials when it comes time for exam revision.
Best,
Tim and David
