In this week’s update, we’ve added the final four lessons to the materials and resources from Greta Thunberg’s speeches.  Lesson 8 is a jigsaw of three speeches.  It's a fast lesson!  Lesson 9 and Lesson 10 come back to those three speeches, but the focus is on assessment, in particular practicing a modified version of the question and answer portion of the Individual Oral.  It’s modified as students are not connecting to a global issue.  They also aren’t preparing an oral. 

Instead, the goal is to get students used to being asked questions on the fly without knowing the questions in advance.  In this way, it destigmatizes the question and answer portion of the IO without running afoul of the rules. 

Lesson 11 is an optional Paper 1, for those so inclined.  And if you aren’t going to use this body of work, you might decide to use Lesson 11 when you need or want to set a Paper 1.
