Greta Thunberg Speeches - Lessons 4 - 7

Two weeks ago, we started to add a set of lessons around Greta Thunberg speeches.

Lesson 1

Lesson 2

Lesson 3

This week, we are publishing the next four lessons in the eleven-lesson series.  Lesson 4 focuses on close language analysis from a speech watched and discussed in Lesson 3.  Lesson 5 builds on the close language analysis and adds global issues to the mix.  Lesson 6 takes the form of a debate.  Finally, Lesson 7 asks students to write close textual analysis paragraphs using small excerpts from two of Thunberg’s speeches .

Lesson 4

Lesson 5

Lesson 6

Lesson 7

The last four lessons will be published two weeks from now.  And with that, you will have eleven lessons that form a body of work around Greta Thunberg speeches.  We think the speeches are best studied in year 1 of the program as the classroom activities focus heavily on building the skills needed for the Individual Oral.

Best,

Tim and David
