Some Updates: May 2022

Thursday 12 May 2022

Dear colleagues,

At the time of writing, it's May 12th 2022. Pretty soon, our students in northern hemisphere schools will be opening their Paper 1 examinations. Whatever they find on opening the examination paper, we wish them the best of luck! As we continue to expand and improve the site, there are a few things you might like to know about some of the future developments we have planned:

1. Feedback from you has told us that you like transcripts of individual orals. Creating these is quite time consuming, and it can sometimes be difficult to do accurately. We aim to do our best, and we will add as many transcripts as possible to current and future individual orals.

2. Would you like help getting to know the course better, or better understand some aspect of the course? At the moment, as a subscriber, you can ask questions using the written comments section of the website. Often, if not always, we respond within 24 hours. However, from August this year, we will be providing the opportunity to video conference with us, either individually or in small groups. This will happen twice a month on a first come, first served basis. More on this later.

3. We'd also like to have you - teachers of IB Language and Literature - on our podcast. We're aiming to talk to teachers with a range of experiences, from anywhere in the world. Is that you, and would you like to participate? If yes, please drop an email to [email protected]

We're always interested in your feeback, whether it is positive praise, suggestions for improvement, or ideas for resources and teaching materials. Get in touch and tell us what you think, or what you'd like. We enjoy hearing from you and try to respond to what you want.

If you are in a northen hemisphere school - and the majority of our subscribers are - you might see signs of summer on the horizon, and be thinking of a well-deserved rest. We hope you enjoy it when you get there.
