Site Updates 2/2026
Monday 16 February 2026
Hello Cinephiles!
Here we go, rounding the corner towards the final stretch of IB. Its a good time to look at our calendars and make sure that all of our internal due dates align with the Final Deadlines and give us enough time to evaluate, assess and upload.
Also, really enjoyed watching A24's Sunny. More on that later.
In the meantime, I wanted to point to some recent updates and site improvements as well as some upcoming ones:
First of all, I've been adding to the main pages in the Film Language & Roles section so that there is a little more comprehensive information for each role. You will see some updates on the following pages that consolidate the vocabulary from the sub-pages so that they are all in one place. That way students might reference them more efficiently when they are doing their analytical and reflective writing. In addition, I've begun to add some sample filmmaker intentions for each role.
Similar updates for the Screenwriter and Sound Designer will be posted shortly. I've paused working on those pages to get new pages up for the new 2027 version of the Extended Essay, which I hope to post later this week.
I've also added new pages to the Editor role;
Finally, I've started to get into vibe coding and I'm pretty excited about creating some more interactive pages for the site (in addition to some of the ones that have been created with genially).
Here's an example of what you'll see more of:
I hope these updates are all helpful, and please let me know what else you'd like to see.
