What is the scene from that film that you will remember forever?

This is the first assignment that I give my Y1 students at the beginning of the course.  

Homework pages like this one can be linked directly from your learning management system, or you can copy the information below into your system to make any changes that fit the needs of your curriculum.

For tonight's homework you'll pick out a scene that you'd consider one of your favorites.  It will probably come from your favorite movie, but it may not.  As you decide on the scene, consider the following:

• Why is this your favorite scene?
• What makes it stand out to you?
• Do you think a lot of people might choose this scene or is it more specific to you? Why?

Here are some parameters for the selection:

• The scene should be less than 5 minutes (but you don't have to show the whole scene).
• The scene should be appropriate for school.
• You should have access to your scene so that you can bring it in and share it.  This might be as a digital file, on a streaming platform, or maybe you can find it on Youtube (the Movieclips channel has a lot).
