More than one teacher?

In some schools two or more teachers may be teaching the same class. This page details how all the teachers of the same class can access and use the whole of the Student access facility for that particular class.

How to set-up shared teacher access to a group

Once one of the teachers has set up the Student access for the class, then if two or more teachers also have a teacher account for chemistry, that teacher will see a [Teacher manager] button when the Student dashboard is opened for that group.

When the [Teacher manager] button is clicked, a list of teachers with whom the group can be shared with will appear.

Click [+ Add] to share the class with one (or more) of the named teachers. The added teacher(s) will then have the same rights as the first teacher in managing the class - i.e. they will be able to add, or remove, a student from the class, set and grade tasks, monitor student progress etc.

Note: If you wish to share your class with another teacher and you do not see the [Teacher manager] button, or the teacher you want to add is not in the list, you first need to ask your Account manager to give the teacher access to the subject by creating an account for them. The button (and the teacher's name in the list) will then appear.

When you have added a teacher, you will see them listed when you click the [Teacher manager] button, and you have the option to remove them again.

The student view

If you are sharing a class, students can see the names of both (or all) of their teachers on the landing page of the relevant subject.

When you set a task for your students, they will see which teacher has set the task and which teacher has graded it. You will also be able to see this in all relevant reports about your students.
