Distance Learning and Blended Learning

Many schools are already closed due to the Covid-19 virus or in the planning stages for being closed. When I discussed the possibility with my own students, they said, well you will be alright, we can use the website. Using  Student Access has many benefits. Students can use the content on the pages to review and understand a topic (like a shorter version of textbook) except there are videos to watch and key questions to challenge them. They can also use the review section activities in each section, e.g.  2.4 Succession Review.

As the teacher you can set up the student access then allow students to see the answers when you are ready, i.e. after they have completed the task. The ESS site has over 70% of the site fully accessible to students once you have set up access. Tests and exams are not accessible to students so don't worry! It's simple to set up, just follow the instructions on  Student Access. I will update the site with more tips about how to use student access soon.
