Split students into groups of 5 or 6 and sit each group in a row of seats side be side. Each pupil should receive a note with the instructions they need to carry out (see below) To start the activity the rightmost student is given a Lego tower representing a word (each brick is labelled with a letter) and was asked "How long is the word?" and asked to follow the instructions in order to answer the question.
