Rhetorical Devices: logos, pathos, ethos, anaphora, hyperbole, irony 

The presentation begins with a definition of rhetorical devices and a short film that explains the history of rhetorical devices. Types of rhetorical devices including logos, pathos and ethos with examples to illustrate each are explained in the following slides. Anaphora, hyperbole and irony are defined with examples of each and there are activities in which students practice writing including the various devices.
