Higher Level response to Hotel Sorrento by Hannie Rayson

 

This week we have posted the first of several responses to the May 2024 examinations. This sample is a response to the first text on the May 2024 TZ2 Paper 1. We will be posting further responses from the most recent examination session in the weeks to come. 

The first extract on the paper was from the play Hotel Sorrento by Hannie Rayson and the example below is a reasonably successful response overall, although it has certain areas that could have been improved, as highlighted in the comments and marks given.  It is worth asking students for their thoughts before looking at the examiner comments and marks, to see if they can suggest ways the response could be developed.
