Change is a comin'
This is just a quick post to remind everyone that we are about 18 months away from the first teaching of the new courses. In school terms 18 months is a long time (there are two summer holidays in there) but equally we know how quickly time can run away from us. There are some biggish decisions to make and a good amount of thinking and reading to do. Please make sure you make your way to myIB and read the curriculum review reports. On this site, you can read lots about what we know so far and the likely issues this will present for schools on this Curriculum Review and 2019 page and these New Curriculum(2019): Applications summaries of the new courses and how they fit together. In this post I have just copied the section about what you can expect from this site to help.....
What can you expect from this Webiste?
In 2019 there wil be 2 mathematics courses for students to chose from and both of these will be available at HL and SL. There are a number of significant changes but for the purpose of understanding this is how they look roughly compared to what is on offer now.
The above is a bit crude and full details are yet to be made public but it is a good guide for now. So in tems of subscribing to ThinkIB.net sites the following is the planned model
This MATHSTUDIES site will become the site for the Mathematics Applications and Interpretations and cater for both courses during the transition.
The HL/SL site will become the site for Mathematics Analysis and Approaches and cater for both courses during the transition.
So, stay tuned for news of how the restructuring will take place!
