In this very beautifully presented documentation of her journey Joy ( Shi Qile) walks us through the development of her ideas around beauty, identity and the body with in-depth critical investigation of artists like Louise Bourgeoise, John Everett Millais,and Richard Serra, all very diverse but all feeding into her process. She explores a range of materials and scale through installation work, sculptural forms in paper, epoxy, plaster, and experiments with staging and editing digital photography.
