Gustav Holst, Second Suite in F

Gustav Holst and The Second SuiteBorn in England in 1874, Holst first earned his living as a trombonist. At the beginning of the 1900"s he turned his attention to composing and teaching. He held teaching positions at the Royal College of Music (London) and taught composition for a short while at Harvard University (USA). Besides writing for the wind band, Holst wrote operas, symphonies, ballets, chamber and choral works.
