Global Statistics in Music

Global Statistics
The statistical bulletins that the IB produce soon after each of the assessment periods can be revealing in that you can learn more about global trends and how subjects compare with others. Other data can help you learn more about which subjects are the most for the Extended Essay, for example, and the percentages awarded an A. It therefore provides some perspective for individual subjects within a broader context. These pages provide a summary for you beginning from the year the current syllabus began (first assessment May 2022).

Whilst the bulletins contain a plethora of information, only information that relates to music appears here. For a full summary, you will need to visit MyIB (an email and password is required).
You may need to ask your Diploma Programme Coordinator to set up access for you.
Each of the pages has been grouped according to year. Thus, May 2022 and Nov 2022, for example, appear alongside one another for easy comparison.
Each of the pages contains the following information:
- General Global Statistics
- Core Points
- Extended Essay in the Arts
- Theory of Knowledge Grade Distribution
- Grade Distribution in the Arts and Music
