Paris, Je Ne T’aime Pas was created as part of the Collaborative Film Project, demonstrating how strong storytelling and filmmaking fundamentals can shine, even with a minimalistic production.

The film is a testament to resilience—the production team initially completed a different film but, unsatisfied with the acting, chose to start over. Over two months, they collaborated intensively, with each student excelling in their roles: screenwriter, cinematographer, director, and editor—all earning 7s in their assessment.

At its core, the film is deeply personal. The screenwriter, who also plays the protagonist, infused the story with her own experience—arriving in Paris for her senior year after five years in another European international school. While the strength of the film lies in its writing rather than performance, her authenticity and emotional depth resonated with many in the audience, making Paris, Je Ne T’aime Pas a compelling and emotionally charged piece.Stay tuned as we further analyze this project in the Collaborative Project section.
